Dr Shelley Greenway is a graduate of the University of Western Australia where she obtained her BDSc with First Class Honours. She worked for 9 years as a general dentist in both private practice and the public sector before returning to UWA study for, and receive her MDSc in Orthodontics. She has been a registered specialist Orthodontist for over 30 years.
Dr Greenway is still actively involved in teaching both at the Postgraduate level at the University of WA and at the Undergraduate level at Curtin University with the Dental Therapy students.
As a highly active member of the Australian Society of Orthodontists she has served several terms on the executive committee of the Western Australian branch including two terms as President.
Other societies and committees that Dr Greenway has been involved with include the Australian Dental Association where she has previously sat on council, the Continuing Education in Dentistry committee, the Dental Specialist Society, the ANZPDS and more recently as congress chairperson for the 28th ASO congress.
Outside of her professional life Dr Greenway is passionate about food and cooking. She also loves gardening , dancing ,is a member of a choir and enjoys hiking, skiing and generally any activity that allows her to be outside enjoying all that nature has to offer. More recently she has taken up the hobby of bee keeping.
Sonia is such an important part of the Face-to-Face team. She has so many skills above and beyond her job description.
Sonia started with Shelley in 2016 whilst finishing her Dental Nursing qualification. She graduated Dux of her class and has remained part of the team since then.
Sonia has a particular skill, (and her favourite part of the job) is getting to know the patients and their families and following their transformations from the start of their orthodontic journey to the end smile.
Sonia is married with two grown up children, and two rescue cats. In her spare time, she loves to travel, read books, go camping, and spend time with family and friends.
Jade comes to the practice with a wealth of orthodontic knowledge first hand. She was originally one of Shelley’s patients who had complex orthodontic treatment and was excited to join the team in early 2022.
When not being an exceptional receptionist she is an Aerial Circus Instructor and since 2018 has been teaching adults and children on weeknights and weekends. Jade loves seeing her students’ progress and grow as aerialist as they gain strength, technique, and stage presence.
What is left of her spare time Jade enjoys going to the gym, eating good food, training aerials and excessive online shopping.
Kate graduated from Curtin University in 2014 and since then, has been working as a dental therapist in paediatrics.
For a long time Kate had been looking for an opportunity to embrace working in orthodontics as it really interested her. That opportunity came when she joined the Face-to Face team in 2022
Her favourite part of her job is making her patients feel comfortable and at ease during their appointments. Kate absolutely loves working with children and spending time with her nieces and nephews.
On her weekends nothing makes Kate happier than hanging out with her family and friends, cooking, Pilates and the beach.
Simone must be one of the happiest people we have ever met. There is always a smile on her face and she has that amazing can do attitude.
Graduating from Curtin University in 2005, Simone has worked in various dental specialties including prosthodontics and tutoring at Curtin.
Originally having a foot in both camps, prosthodontics and orthodontics we are delighted to say that she finally decided to be fulltime in the orthodontic world – lucky us. Simone finds it a privilege getting to know our patients and being a part of their dental journey.
Out of work Simone likes keeping active and enjoying the great outdoors, whether it be hiking, camping, snorkelling, or doing some gardening, are just a few of Simone’s joys especially when spent with her large family, friends or her dog, Basil.
